Ya they told me Upper case lettering means yelling! hahaha..altho I see some people totally posting their messages in upper case..are they mad? lol I do wish very much things would be more fun and a bit more lively in caedes. It seems things have become a bit montone lately. A lot have been affected negatively by the C Index too. I would love to hear some thoughts on this by the 'mods' and some of the people who have been here a while(the ones who stayed and didn't run off to other sites for their own reasons)...........

One way to "improve" the site is to try and get people more involved. I try to do this by occasionally organising little contests, like Guess the artist and the t-shirt thing. I did this before I was a mod and there is nothing to stop others from doing the same or similar, just requires a little planning. What makes caedes special is that it is a COMMUNITY, and just like any other community, it only works if people get involved, get together, communicate, and put effort in. We are all a part of this community and a community is only as good as the people who are involved in it!

Can we all get dressed up & go trick or treating ??? And nobody's allowed to go as Napeleon(sp. sorry ) Dynamite. If I see one more " Vote for Pedro " t-shirt I will NOT be responsible for my actions....

I would love to try something new . In PHotoshop there is a heading for "Liquefy" How about everyone trying their "hand" at it?? And we can see what kind of kewl designs we can come up. I am NOT good at photoshop....but at least it would be me a chance to "pretent" I could mess with it a bit. Any takers??

Actually I have seen quite a few images using the "Liquify" feature. I think BJ had some with swirls in them? Of course other people may have used it in such a skillfull way that I didn't realise the tool had been used. Personally I am absolutely hopeless at doing practiaclly anything freehand, so the Liquify tool does nothing but aggravate me!

I had so much fun trying that earlier, but sheesh you know me! now I gotta figure out HOW to save it and how to post it....why do all things take me so long to figure out! I found myself really relaxing with that tool...now lets see if I can figure out how to post it...well, guess what I just tried to save it and instead I deleted it. :( well so much for that one!!

In response to Sam's referral to me, I do not have the liquify tool in my program. I have photoshop but have never used it. I do have images made partly from what is called the "chrome" filter in my program, but I've never used it alone. "Sunny Disposition" probably has the most of it so far. I would imagine that it's quite similar to the liquify filter. The problem with this filter is that levels have to be just right to get a smooth and well defined image. As close as I've gotten with it, I've still had to smooth edges with the smudge tool set on the smallest setting and magnify my image a great deal going pixel by pixel playing with sharpness levels as well. It's not something I can do and post in an hour by any means. Then again, none of my images made from scratch ever are. Good luck with it Verena and have fun. Remember patience, patience, patience, and then some more patience! ;o There's no easy way around the practice I'm afraid. If there is, I'd love for someone to clue me in too! I'm rather stuck humbly over here on this practice side of the fence. ;o
