I dont know if this is the right place to talk about that (if is not, just remove it), so , I've been seeing that, some pictures have more downloads than comments.what happen with those who downloaded them, and dont leave any comments...I just dont get it, and about the c-index...it seems the same, low score, less comments and a lot donwloads.....so, how really works this.......????

An image will tend to get most of it's comments right at the beginning, from the regular members. From there you should only expect comments very occasionally. If you are suggesting that this is a recent phenomenon, it isn't, actually those stats are pretty good; for example I have an image in my gallery with 3676 views, 2035 downloads and only 18 comments :-P...

Hopefully with initiatives like "Artist of the week" and the comment request feature, this might improve; but realise that the vast majority of traffic on the site is just people who drop in to get wallpaper and aren't really interested in commenting or being involved in the community. Look at the stats and you will notice that most "Users" haven't even registered...

Well, Now I see. But when you said about those peope who are not interested to be part of this community, they just get the wallpaper and thats it. Well, if you have images with 2035 downloads, just to say, that 1000 of those are member of this community and the rest are those who are not...my question is :how you can deal with somebody who took your image, and maybe He/she/they are selling the image thru internet or maybe on the streets, without any concern "who is the artist of it", (I've seen this, with others artist of this community with "RIPS" of their images...
I just would like to know who you protect this community against this "RIPS" , again people might use some artists' work for something we dont even know.

You have no control over who downloads your images. As shown in the "Vigilante Justice" forum, attempts are made to lower piracy, but there is no way to completely stop someone from distributing or selling your image if they are determined. If you are really worried about that, I suggest leaving a sig on every image you make. Otherwise your only option is not to upload at all...

This is one of my worries. Piracy is pretty bad. I mean is not like my images are worth much money, but still to think someone is taking credit for it. Besides If I see it somewhere I would be pretty excited to know that is my image, unless Target or WalMart or a big company uses it then that would be different. I would imagine they keep aware for any law suits. Well you know there are amazing images on this site, I would hate for something like that to happen to someone. and you know even if you sign it, Photoshop can take that off or even some cropping. I do know about a feature in photoshop where you can tag your image, with all that good information. But do you know if that is also uploaded to Caedes? or when the image is downloaded by another user? anywho... I do Agree with BRIX and I bet we are not the only ones to think this way, not enough votes or comments. Yet again I can see a situation Like yours Samatar where your image has been seen 3676 times and downloaded 2035 time and there are only 18 comments. There is only so much that can be said about an image, even in just a few comments. Votes, well if everybody voted on my images I dont think it would change much. usually people that vote are those that are involved and comment and have knowledge of what they do. Or am I wrong? what do you think?

One thing I can tell you is that pirates are generally too lazy/stupid to remove sigs from your image if you put one there. I know from experience.

I have an image with 97 downloads, 130 views., and a c-index of 15. Go figure. I feel that the downloads are the true measure of what its quality is. If nobody liked it, they wouldn't download it in the first place.
