Not interested so much in feedback on the image as the subject. If anyone knows what these are, whether they are edible, what they can be used for etc. I'd love to know. There's some info on the size etc. in the comment field. Here's the photo. Thanks!

Thanks but I don't think these are habernaros... they aren't hot or spicy at all. And don't chilis usually have lots of little seeds in them? These things only have one big seed. Oh well, maybe they're not fruits at all.

A little more info would be helpful in the ID such as plant description, flower description etc;-)

You can see some of the leaves here. The red ones in the circle are freshly grown, you can see how the normal leaves look behind them (a bit blurry). I'm referring only to the leaves contained in the second circle from the top.
