The Halo Effect is when, because the subject you ary studying has so many positive aspects, you undernote the negative ones. Likewise, the Horns Effect is when you undervalue the positive aspects because there are so many negative ones.
A working example would be that the clarity and framing are both excellent, so you vote high not really caring that the colors are washed out, or perhaps the clarity and distortion are so bad that you ignore the fact that the moment and expression could never be caught again and the framing makes it doubly so.
Is this supposed to be a problem when we vote? I know this applies to my voting, so I thought I should ask.
Oh..I thought Horns like sharp edges :) I guess you vote what you feel the image deserves if you feel it deserves more than other would vote...give it that vote...
Is there any way to avoid it?
