I was curious how some people on caedes take self portraits of themselfs. I have been trying various ways but none really seem to be working. I was just curious how some of you have managed to get an image of yourself with.

I would use the timer or remote. Your camera may not necessarily have these feature though.

If you book a trip to Disneyland in Japan .. and stand around looking forlorn in front of a fountain or other landmark .. somebody will be along shortly to offer to snap your photo for you

If you do this in Detroit, in front of your favorite auto mfr. you may not get your camera back .. so you should make arrangements for them to email your portrait to you

One of the coolest self portraits i have ever seen was tbhockey's. I've never really got one of myself that is any good, although ive never really tried. I prefer the camera to be pointed away from me.

When this gallery was created, the idea was to give a face to the members. My "self portrait" was taken by... my wife!
Aaargh! If I must delete it, say it to me gently, so that I'll not be irritated... Hehehe ;-)

Laugh if you like, but the "Welcome, but please take a look at our weird designs while we spend a month opening this program that you that you probably tried to open by accident" screen for Adobe Acrobat Reader has inspired me. Mommy just got a Rebel XT for her birthday, so I need to figure out how to set a timer on it, apply some wonderful shadows to whatever room I decide to take them in, and make sure everyone else is out of the house! :-)

As for your self portrait that your wife took, is it titled "Shyness"? I skimmed your gallery, but that is the closest I could find. :-)

You can do anything you set your mind to when you have vision, determination, and an endless supply of expendable labor.
