I just got a new screen and it's a wide creen, now I'm looking for desktop wallpapers that are 1920x1200. I guess this is more of a request, but perhaps there are more people then me that would like to see a higher resolution than 1600x1200 picture option. Since I use a 1920x1200 screen I'm of course bias towards that resolution.

Anyway just wanted to put in my request for a large widescreen resolution option.

I'm not sure if caedes plans to implement it... maybe he isn't sure it has enough support from the community (hint, hint)

Well ... tell you what .. buy us all a wide screen monitor and then you'll have more voices ringing out with the message .. :o)

but, seriously .. *caedes has mentioned several times that he is considering changes in format and size of offerings .. but .. he is only one man .. only one bloke, in certain parts of the globe ... and coding and testing of these things takes time

when you factor in ... eating, sleeping, goofing off (he is but a wee lad) ... and, then, the dreaded hormonal rages (he is less of a wee lad with each passing day) ... well .. then it should be no surprise that things take time

In the mean time ... oops ... sam beat me to it

I occasionally monitor the visitors to see what screen resolutions are being used. Currently yours is at the <1% level. So you best bet in the short term is to just crop and resize some of the images that we have here.

I understand that a widescreen format doesn't make much sense for photography since most cameras work in 4:3 mode. So the revolution I would use would most likely be 1920x1440 (4:3) then crop it down to 1920x1200. The majority of digital cameras used by people on this site has a much larger resolution than 1920x1440, so perhaps that would be a better solution/request. Or maybe 2000x1500 would be a better logical step.

I hope this is not taken the wrong way, this is by far the best site out there for high resolution good quality photography. And I want to thank you for maintaining and developing this excellent site.

Thanks for listening.
