Can you please tell me why this image as been uploaded with such a low res. It was taken with a brilliant camera on high res settings and I have the original [ which I uploaded ] on my comp at 1023 x 683 and I sized it down to that to be accetable on Caedes. Thanks

"I sized it down to that to be accetable on Caedes"
What did you "size it down" to?
I'm guessing 800x600, which is the resolution it is displayed at. The next largest resolution is 1024x768, and your image is too small for that unless you add borders. So the image is displaying at the res you uploaded at. I can't understand why that would surprise you.
Hi, the imagine works fine at 1024 x 768 I have it on my 19" monitor at that ratio. The original is over 3mb and large screen size, I changed it in PSP keeping the ratio for it to 1023x 683 and that is the size I uploaded to Caedes. :)
If the original from the camera you say is 3 MB then your resolution must be higher than 1023x683. What is the megapixel rating of your camera? An image size of 1023x683 would not load on Caedes?
The camera is a Canon E0S 300D the mega pixels are very, very high. Its my sons camera and it is always set on the best settings, he is not here right now to ask. That is why I was surprised it was put on 800 x 600 I have just got the original it is 3072 x 2048 and is 18 MBytes, so i resized with PSP to 1023 x 683 to put onto Caedes. Hope this helps.
Thanks

Well .. first, as has been said, .. 1023x683 is not a standard size .. the CAEDES site software is not programed to size UP .. only down. Since it was not a legitimate 1024x768 it did not get posted and listed as such
I think you should always post 1600x1200 if you can .. the site will make the smaller ones on demand
thank you for trying. and sharing ...
send me the camera, maybe there's a problem there .. ;o)
Yes that's fine. I'm guessing that when you saved in PS, it saved at a default resolution (probably the res you use for your own monitor). Just open the original 3072 x 2048 image and this time save it as 1600 x 1200 as keifer suggests.
I dont really know where I came by that size as I use 1024 x 768 on my monitor. I think my son took the picture using a setting on his camera that made the picture wider then normal and I just got the numbers wrong when I down sized it. Oh well all is ok now and I will re list after visiting the voting booth :)
Thanks
