One of my older pictures 'Paradise' like all other older pictures on this site - had no c-index and was in a 'permanent' gallery for quite a while after the new c-index & voting system was introduced, and then suddenly was moved into a place where it gets votes. Is this a strange thing to happen - or has this been happening on a small scale to images that are considered worthy of having a c-index under the new system... i am confused.

although the link wont actually reall explain much...
All the older images (Caedes Classics?) are slowly being voted on in a mysterious and unknown random pattern that only the Praetor Maximus might know. It appears that your image has finally got enough votes to receive a C-index, most of my older images still have no votes from the voting booth. Please remember that C-index really isn't important, as it plays no part in our decisions when we tidy up the permanent galleries from time to time.
The old images get the "left over" votes. If there are no new images that need votes, the voting booth starts showing some of the older images. Caedes added this to allow new images to get more attention and get voted on more.
nother question... my images all say that exactly 7 people have voted on them. Yet one went from a 21 to a 20 today, w/no additional votes. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH *grabs desperately for the 1 point* GIVE IT BACK!
Keifer, you do realise that you are already responsible for the deaths of several innocent yaks killed by caedes members in an attampt to increase their c-indexes, or lower those whose images are above theirs... in my opinion, that was a highly irrisponsible statement. Think carefully about the consequences next time, please...
As of now, there are over 4,600 permanent images that don't have enough votes to even get a c-index. 3,250 of those images have no votes at all. So getting c-indexes for all your images will take a while.
