Poser and bryce have a number of known issues - not least the hair often disappearing and the eyes turning white (you have to select the relevant eye shape and delete it or turn it transparent). There are a whole host of webpages devoted to the issue, but I've never found a 100% reliable way of doing it.
To get figures looking photo-realistic in any 3D package generally involves a lot of post-processing in any case.
