Just a thought...
With some of the beautiful work that is being done here, wouldn't it be a nice touch if we had a catagory where we could submit pics for this purpose. Or at the very least have it as an option to send some of our favorite pictures out as an on-line card.

I don't know why, but I never liked on-line cards. Maybe I'm not "on the move"... ;-)

I agree with you Pierre. I can't really see the point in them.

I use them, both send and recieve them.. Many poeple do.. I think it's a good idea..

Or, if not e-cards, why not some of the more beautiful or unusual images for sale as prints ? That way the artist could get some reimbursement too, plus the added bonus of further recognition. And yes, I'm including more than just photography in my suggestion.

Sorry, but I do not want anyone but me making money off my art. I'm providing it free for fair use. Not for it being sold. If someone else was going to sell it automatically regardless of whether I specifically submitted my art for that purpose, I would leave and find another online community. People can sell their art on e-Bay or someplace if they want to.

I like the idea but only if the pic had my name on it... i agree with the last comment, about making money... :-)

i think what laurengary was suggesting was the artist would be making money from selling their images, not someone else.

Pierre, you are such a horse-drawn man. "Don't like them e-lek-trickle watches, neither!" On the other hand I think I agree with you - it would be a lot of work on the part of Caedes, and I don't think many of us would use it. As far as someone else making money off of my images, if it helped Caedes defray the costs of running this place it would be worth my time. The only reason I would like to make money off my art so I could quit writing mortgage software for a living and do something more permanent like creating art and bringing happiness into people's lives.
