For anyone growing up in the 1980's, like me, you probably remember the show 'You Can't Do That On Television' , (YCDTOTV for short). Well, it has just been announced that they will be releasing some of the episodes on DVD this year. My kids laughed so hard when they recently watched a couple of recorded episodes. So if you became a teenager during the Reagan administration or you have kids 8 to 14 years old now, you might want to watch for the DVD release.

hmm - never heard of it which is kind of worrying as we get a lot of american material broadcast over here so i can only assume its either humour lost in translation or the best kept secret ever. are there any episode clips on the net to watch?

Yes, go to the Virtual Theater on YCDTOTV.com, they show a different episode every week or so, sometimes more often, sometimes less often. The streaming episodes are not DVD quality of course. The DVD to be released will be made from the master tapes.
