oops tryin to figure out how this works...anyway went from a cannon power sot to a fugii S-5100 and can't seem to get a good clear shot with it...help..want my cannon back!?

I don’t know the Fuji S-5100 but I can tell you it takes a while to get used to a new camera. The menu system and controls are all different and take some time to get used to them. Does it have a big zoom range? If so stay away from the telephoto end for a while. The most important thing is to use it and get used to it.

I get excellent captures from my Fuji S5100/5500, even hard to capture lightning shots. I agree with trisbert, it takes time to get used to a new camera.

At the risk of stating the obvious, are you using the best settings? Make sure you're set to "4Mp Fine" rather than "4Mp Normal" or one of the lower resolution settings - according to www.stevesdigicams.com (an excellent resource) the S5100 "doesn't offer a quality setting at lower resolutions, and its JPEG compression is aggressive".
