I thought we could have a little contest to see who has has the silliest/funniest dream lately. Please don't make naything up! Ill start: I just saw a manip in the "New images" gallery where someone used a caymens eyes on a wolf and it reminded me of the dream I had last night. Basically I had a large (at least 2 metres long) crocodile come into my backyard and I discovered that I could train it to "Sit" by HAND FEEDING it BREADCRUMBS. Apparantly (in the dream) I had seen people do this on TV and decided, well if they could do it, why couldn't i? Anyway I just thought I'd share that with you all...

Nope. I hate those dreams, cause i wake up and my legs are completly numb. havnt had one in a while though.

I've had a stupid dream: i was camping with Maria, and there were elves and elephants and my house was a trailer, and then, all of a sudden Maria disapeared, then a tornado came and we had to hold onto a swing set to save us.... it was really weird...

but is it true that if you hit the bottom in the falling dreams you die? cause if so...i consider that more of a nightmare than a dream

No, you dont die! Whoever told you that is full of crap... Dreams like that signify that you feel you've lost control of you life. And hitting the bottom means you've hit rock bottom. if you hit the bottom, try evaluating your life and see whats wrong with it... Trust me im speaking from personal experiance.

~I stand alone, in a beautiful field of daisies. For some reason, there's an old cannon standing alone as well in this field of flowers. I walk up and place a lone daisy in the cannon. The next moment I'm being saved by David Hasselhoff from 'Baywatch'.~ It sucks to be me, I know. :( I don't even like 'Baywatch', heck, I don't think I've every watched a whole episode.

ps: I am married!! And, no, I don't long for David Hasselhoff!! Please help!!

OK then how about this: The daisies represent an allergy, and the cannon a sneezing nose. The fact that you are able to place a daisy on the cannon without it going off (IE "Sneezing") symbolises that you are in good physical and medical condition.

David Hasselhoff represents your desire to watch really awful TV shows, which you are secretly ashamed of (You can't hide from your subconcious though!) When he rescues you from the field, it symbolises your need to "escape" from everyday life now and then by watching trashy TV.

Either that or lay off the cheese like Phil says.

Hey Andrew, I read once that everyone has that "falling dream", & that it's not so much a dream as a race memory. Something that's been imprinted in your very genes. And if I remember right, the reason you know that if you hit bottom you'll die is from when we lived in trees & if you fell from the tree, your home & sanctuary, the predators on the ground would get you, kill you. That's why you always jerk awake from the dream before you fall & hit bottom with your heart pounding & adrenaline flooding through your veins.

very well, everybody iggied my q, so imma go ahead and post ancient dreams anyway…

like when I was around 10 or so: I had a dream that I was @ the zoo… and I went to the bathroom, and as I'm sitting there on the bowl, somehow, the gorilla cage was in front of me, w/a sign next to the bars "Do not give the gorilla toilet paper"… but the poor gorilla, he's sitting there entreating, so sad… holding out his hand… so I finished up and went to give him some toilet paper… whereupon he grabbed my hair, and started pulling and pulling and pulling, and I woke up to discover I was attempting to pull my hair out…

Now what this means, I have NO CLUE, but I believe it was shortly after that when I figured out I was DEFINITELY NOT NORMAL.

WHen I was younger, I use to have a recuring dream of being a mouse in an underground garbage dump, where barges would bring in the garbage through a sea cave... but the fun part was there were these robotic tentacle things that would slither around killing mice and rats, so I would defend myself with my trusty mouse sized power drill.

ok… next ridiculous dream…

Was about 2 weeks after I graduated from boarding school, dreamed I'd somehow gotten my hands on one of the family cars, and had it up @ school. Then my family came for graduation, and I kept having to move it around campus over and over to hide it from them (The fact that I didn't know how to drive yet, and that 1 of 2 cars being missing would DEF have been noticed has no relevance here apparently).

This dream was so realistic that the next morning when I woke up, for about an hour after I went downstairs, in the back of my mind, I was still trying to figure out how to get back upstate and get the car back!

My dad's comment on this dream after I had my "dur" moment and told him what happened? "Do me a favor… next time you dream about stealing a car? Dream about stealing a GOOD car"

I don't remember much of the dream itself, but it was after a good night of D&D gaming, when I woke up in the morning in a start panic, thinking I needed to save the queen.

As a kid, I had the falling dream constantly. Same exact spot all the time. I ride my bike up a steep grass hill in a local park and then continue straight up into the sky a la Evel Knievel. I hit 300 feet or so and then begin to fall back to earth. I would always wake up before I hit the ground. About the 20th time I had this dream, I finally hit the ground. I bounced! No pain whatsoever. I was shocked that I was okay, then I woke up. Never had that dream again.

i get a lot of dreams about tornados...since i was little...recently it has stopped..\ i live in Brooklyn, New York, all my life since i was born..and i've never seen a tornado except on tv so i've never had a bad experience....
i've read that tornadoes in a dream mean there is some angry violent person in my life...hmmm......interesting...

but one really retarted dream i had was turning on the air conditioner for the first time in our house when we just moved in and i was told the one in the dining room doesn't work so we tried the one in the living room...and when i turned it on, the whole house starting spinning like we were inside a washing machine...i somehow made it to the window in another room and saw all this water outside and it started flooding up outside really fast...wtf..lol!
i guess it was fear of the air conditioner and i probably did laundry or something earlier..i have no idea, but i know i felt dumb when i woke up..

I use to have tornado dreams, except I would go out and face them down, acting like a damn against its fury. When the tornado had passed, there would be destruction around me, except for what I was protecting.

Another aspect I have read about tornadoes, is that they represent change in your life.

Since it is relevant (with the current contest and all) I'm going to revive this one.

The other night I dreamt that I was building a new set for "The Footy Show" (a sports panel show) in a park out of bricks (without mortar). As I recall the pannelists came and took things over. I didn't like their design (they had too many pillars which would interfere with the cameras, I reasoned) but they ignored me... so I walked off in a huff and nonchalantly put my arm through a few of the supporting brick pillars as I walked off, eventually sending the large roof into a dramatic collapse... the last thing I remember is the head host (someone called Fatty something I think) came looking for me, I got a bit worried so I transformed myself into a beam of light.

I SWEAR I don't make these up... anyone want to interpret that one for me??

And the silliest thing is I really can't stand that show...

I think I got you all beat... I have what some have called "bizarre" dreams. Take last night for example...

The location: Mens bathroom in a hospital
SO... there I am... I get wheeled into the mens bathroom on a gurney... So, I'm lying there thinking this is somewhat "off"... until... women start coming in to use the urinals!

Needless to say, the absurdity of that one, woke me up right away.:o)

Back to the falling dream. How about the one where your falling, and falling, then you hit the bottom...and you wake up (in the dream still) and you somehow go into another death fall...then sometimes you can see the ground but as soon as you HIT it, you wake up. Wierd.

Btw curtiebear, never had the one. lol. Though I have had the ones (way off your subject) where I'm tardy for class. Then I run to my next period, but its the wrong class! so i run and run around to each room and so i sometimes go back to the same room. Then I walk into this other room which (ive told this b4, but its happened recently and often)...when you open the door, there is a little 3 ft long hallway and when you look around it there is a cage in the middle. The ceiling is high and the walls are smooth. So your walking around wondering what it is, and out *poof* from the cage comes these german shepards and your locked in this room. How did i get locked!? Well, anyways, yeah i run around and they run around with me, and as soon as they are about to bit me i wake up....fun dream...not.

Or, lol, another shall i? ...The bests one is the ones where you get superpowers. Lol, and you fly around...just thats my only superpower: flying. So i fly around, having fun, and right when im having fun...everytime...my mother yells: "NOAH!!!!" to wake me up. Right in the middle of an awsome dream! -.- then u face reality of waking up.

I can recall dreams where I would be walking from school to my house... normally it would take 15 - 20 minutes I guess. But in the dream I would be running in slow motion and things kept happening... so it would be getting dark and I still hadn't made it out of the school grounds. It was really frustrating.

Just 2 nights ago, I dreamed that I gave away my two precious kitty cats. I don't remember why or to whom I gave them, but then, in my dream, I was so very angry at myself for giving them away. I missed them so.............:(
When I woke up, I saw both of the sweet cats and was so happy that they were still with me. The dream was very real as were the feelings I experienced.
I think it symbolizes the two deaths I have experienced in the past 10 days, my close girlfriend on 6-1 & my Uncle on 6-9........that somehow I was grieving in my sleep.
Anybody else buy that explanation? :)

I think your interpretation of that dream Mimi sounds pretty reasonable...as for me, whenever I dream about my cat it always turns out that a whole bunch of other cats that look just like mine show up and I start panicking that I can't tell which one is mine and that maybe there will be a huge cat fight...I have the same type of dream about our budgie...I think perhaps it signifies some concern that something bad is going to happen to them...on another note, does anyone ever have dreams where the people you know look and behave entirely out of character ?...for example, I have dreamt of my sweet departed Grandmother who never smoked or took a drink in her life nor did she have a drivers' license but in my dream she is cruising around in a convertible with a cigarette in her mouth and an open bottle in her car and behaving rather obnoxiously...why would I dream about her like that ?...I too have dreamt of finding money but always wake up and never get to spend it...on a more ridiculous note, I once dreamt I was plucking my eyebrows and suddenly discovered one was completely gone and I was so worried how I could show up for work looking like that.:Pat.
