I have a thoery about fortune cookies;
To get one pertaining to you, you need to be the one who draws it out of the case of cookies. Since that's already done for you and you just choose between the two or four on the table, it's the waiters fortune. I think they're pushing fate to draw their own fortune out of the box a hundred times a shift. Look closely at your waiter next time you get one that has absolutely no relevance.
