I have noticed that people seem to shy away from the threads that I post. Other times they attract large amounts of people and "fights" break out. Because of this I was just wondering who thinks I should stop posting such controversial subjects or if I should continue.

Jim's right, post your heart out. And please don't take it personally that I seldom if ever post any responses. It's just that I'm too old to enjoy something as time-consuming as controversial discussion. =)

There is no reason you should stop posting topics if you want to. As far as I know no one has objected to them. But you shouldn't expect everyone to respond to controversial subects in such a public forum. Some people probably feel that they may be ridiculed or even attacked for their veiwpoint. Some come here for recreational purposes rather than to get involved in debate. One thing I am slightly annoyed by is when people are "baited" into getting involved in a discussion, for example in your "God" topic, you suggested that since some people had stopped posting, they must have "lost" or given up. Actually I was expecting this to happen with that particular discussion, but I think you should avoid doing it if you really want people to freely express their opinion. My 2 cents...

I posted that comment to goad people just as Fir3bird did and it recieved 20 or 30 more posts. I wanted to see If it would happen again.

Keep posting...please! I rarely post in controversial topics because I don't have time- I haven't been on this site in three days (which is a long time for me, I usually go on every day) because I've been really busy lately. I post in games and stuff because it's fast. Keep posting though, your topics are very interesting to read, even if I don't add to the conversation.

I enjoy reading these controversial posts from time to time...if I feel inclined to, I'll put my two cents in...Not everyone will agree with what's said here, but I hope that we are all mature enough to respect other people's opinions, and not to take personally their comments. We should respond to people's statements, not themselves personally or their ideas. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and have the right to say or not say whatever they choose...
