My screen resolution is 1024 x 768 and I download in the same size but part of all pictures is cut off when shown on the desktop. How can I download so I can view the complete picture?

can do one of two things or both assuming you are running windows and not a mac. the first thing you can do is go into your taskbar properites and make it so it hides itself. Another thing you could do is upload the size smaller and then centre it in the middle of your screen with some bars on the side. Also if you wanted which i guess would be a third thing would be resize the picture with some sort of editing software like photoshop to allow the full picture to be on the screen.

irfanview is a FREE image viewer that does a great many things. it will resize .. it will also "set as wallpaper" ...

you can view your collection of images, find one you would like on your desktop, resize it, sharpen it (if necessary) and set it to your desktop ... so .. find a number that works for you .. like 971x728 and CENTER on your screen ... note: not all images will require resizing because they won't have important detail on that bottom edge

(and, unless you save, you are resizing the copy that is in memory .. NOT your downloaded copy .. )

Another thing is to, if you have a 17" monitor and you have set at 1024 x 768 you will lose some of the picture. If you have a 19" monitor set the same way you should get the whole picture. So you should have a 17" monitor set at 800 x 600. I would download the pictures at 800 x 600 as well. However if you have a LCD monitor i'm not sure if all what I just said holds true for them.

As far screen size as no baring on what size you download. I have a 17 inch monitor and if i were to dowload something from here i would definitly not go with 800x600, infact i wouldn't even go with 1024x768 because i like the higher resolution you get with the 1280x1024. The only thing the larger screen is going to do is change the size of the pixels. Set at the same resolution the pixels on a 19 inch will be larger then if they are on a 17 inch. The aspect raito is still the same (unless one is a widescreen, but we arn't talking about that) so it doesn't matter.
