Me & the Mrs. have been thinking about getting one of those Sharper Image products, the Ionic Breeze and wondered if anyone had one and would be willing to give their comments about it...good, bad or ugly.

Thanks!!

We don't have one but I think when you have smokers in the house or if you cook with alot of different odors like fish, it should be helpful. Isn't it also suppoesd to purify the air? Let me know what you find out as I am interested.

I have one but it's not the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze, it's a cheaper model but it works well. I notice a difference and we have cats and birds. No smoking though, who could afford that anyway.

The only complaint I ever heard about them was ... They don't move the air around as well as the ones with fans .. but .. the big selling point for me would be that there is no annoying fan noise

I think if the area you put it in has 'people traffic' .. that will move the air for you

You could, of course, read through these GOOGLE: consumer reports ionic breeze

Thanks to all for the responses!!

We're neither asthmatic. I have some minor allergies but nothing really to sneeze about :), it's under control pretty good. We have, as most of you know, two cats. We both smoke...I know, I know we should stop. Really thought about getting one more so for the kitties...Charlie really hates cigarette smoke :(

Thanks for the link Keifer, I take a gander at it. ~runs off to get me readin' spectacles~

I could not understand how an air filtration system can filter the air with out a fan. Yes it can charge the air to collect partials like a magnet, but it can only do it in the immediate vicinity. What an ion filter does is change the charge from a positive to a negative which in hand gives you a positive feeling.

If you notice when you by a Christmas tree it makes you feel better. That is because it converts positive ions to negative which slightly alters your emotional well being. A house plane can do the same thing. So if that is what your looking for buy a bunch of house plants.

But if you want to change the air quality you need to buy a filtration system that can move the air to clean it. I here that the Oric is one of the best on the market! It is small
And does a great job in moving a good portion of the air in a small house hold.

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.
