i have noticed that when i first upload photographs they seem to be a bit dark and flat on all my computer screens. (oink oink) my question is.....do you prepare your photographs in image ready, do you add extra contrast and/or saturation to each even though they look good before you send them, or what????? jen

Jen - you might want to check that your screen profile is set to sRGB and that your photo program assigns the same profile to your image, as sRGB often displays the best colour and contrast represenation on online images.

that wont have any effect on your image - its the profile that is assigned to it that will determine how it looks - your next upload you could try saving as a PNG format image instead of a JPEG and see if it is a compression issue that is affecting your shadow areas.
