Photography School

I have had a few schools recommended to me, but I assume there are more I should know about. I will list what I know about already, but feel free to add to the list.

Brooks Institute of Photography - A mile and a half from the ocean in sunny Santa Barbara, California. This school is very easy to get into (95% admission rate), but extremely difficult to stay put. Rather than weed out those lacking skill and determination before the semester begins, they let nature take its course when the grades arrive. Still, there are few accomplishments for the photographer that rival graduating from Brooks.

Art Center College of Design - This is also located in California, but it is in Pasadena, not near the beach. It still boasts an excellent photography program, although it offers other majors in artistic design. The Art Center is a bit more conventional in the way they accept students, but a portfolio is still a major part of admissions. It also has a very high attendance rate by those of Asian descent. This is another school well reknowned and regarded by photographers and their associates nation-wide.

Rochester Institute of Technology - This school is based out of Rochester, New York. It offers degrees in many fields of technology, but it offers a very excellent (although quantitative) take on photography. It accepts the ACT or the SAT, which is rare in an East Coast school. 70% of its students are males, 90% of which graduated in the top half of their highschool class.

How about some schools out of the US? What else is out there?

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.
