I'd have more respect for them if they knew their pet fly's eyesight was failing .. and they went the extra mile to help him out ... for the remaining 22 hours of his 24 hour lifespan
yeah, yeah, yeah .. advancement of science, and all that
Now that was a great read; "Autobiography of a Fly."
A short and quick read :oP
But it was riveting when it got to the part where the fly admitted itself to a Betty Ford Clinic. He, the fly that is, came from an intervention where his buddies had gathered around a pile of ... well, you know ... and he came to see that the remaining 12 hours of his life could be worth something.
I never saw a fly that looked like that ! All blue......must be some European Housefly that we don't get in the States......or maybe he only listens to the Blues & is one cool cat...er, housefly
Believe it or not I have a pair of Oakley Romeo 2's that my daughter in law got me for Christmas...$385 (she didn't have to pay that). She works at a well known Eyewear place in Seattle...the same place Bill Gates buys his glasses....such posh company.
I know...Keifer is thinking what has this got to do with housefly's...look at me...do I look far from it?
When I was younger I used to buy the DARKEST $2.00 sunglasses I could find .. because bright light hurts my eyes .. then, one day, I found a pair of VARNETs that a truck driver had dropped in the truckwell of my job
I was hooked on quality lenses from that point forward .. sadly, though, if my current Sunclouds break I'll be back to the $2 variety
Hey Les no problem...Bill invited me out to the Mansion over on the lake for dinner and a swim. We are diving for some of his glasses, he always drops the off the dock (true). I'll mention you to him...maybe he will have you come out here and work in the mailroom at MS. What size cement shoes do you wear?
Ahh, how do you think I found out about the prohibitive barriers to entry that were being erected in the industry and unfair business practices in the first place?
The mailroom is the pulse of the enterprise. Well, bit of a stretch there ... but, we do have fun opening the 'special' mail stuff. Bill would get his shorts in a knot when his issue of Mad Magazine had already been 'tainted,' as mentioned in the inner office memos. *teehee*
You are so evil. You read Mad Magazine before he did....evil...pure evil...I love it!
As for the fly...I think those glasses are rather stylish and the fly has great taste in accessories...perhaps he should be on the panel for America's Next Top Model...with a sense of style like that, he'd certainly be a welcome addition.
I'd have more respect for them if they knew their pet fly's eyesight was failing .. and they went the extra mile to help him out ... for the remaining 22 hours of his 24 hour lifespan

Discuss ... =o)
