Problem with Links

I have tried posting links, in my signature and elsewhere, but they just end up like this:
<A href = "http://thiswebsite.com">Link Text</A>. Why, why, why? And what have I done?

try a lowercase "a"

and .. remove the space on each side of the =

Use lowercase letters - like this

<a(space)href="http:blahblahblah.com/blurb/gulp/blurb"(no space)>click here<(no space)/a>

Might want to just copy from the FAQs and paste, and then change it.
