I was wondering if there is a reason why images on the New Image page start out random. I prefer to keep current with images by date and that means I always have to change this drop down menu. Is there anyway I can permanently set my options to date instead of random on the new image start page?

it should remember your preference as it is so maybe its a history/cookies settings issue on your browser?

It sets a cookie in order to remember your preference. If you don't keep the cookie between browser sessions then it will default back to the random setting.
