There is a thread like this buried somewhere if you are interested. I can't remember my choices, but here are some as they come to me:
The Italian job (the recent remake), haven't the original but it would have to be better... boring and stupid. Probably the only good part was the car chase at the end, but I never saw that because I couldn't be bothered sitting through it to the end.
Face Off. Watching Nicholas Cage weep and wail about his rediculous predicament for 30 minutes in what is supposed to be an action film was painful. The plot was completely unbeleivable... think about it, if someone you were married to for however many years came home one day with another mans identity don't you think you might notice?? Apparantly not. Another thing about this silly flick was that everything exploded at the drop of a hat. Just stupid.
"Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" is a cult classic. Love that one.
Worst movie ... and I really can't remember much let alone the name, as I fell asleep to it in the theatre. I do know that Jon Voight was in it, and that it was possibly and supposed to be, a 'thriller.' Lol.
Intersection - sadly, it left such a bad impression on me that I wiped it from my mind completely… and subsequently sat through it a SECOND time 5 years later… only recognizing it @ the very end. *spits* PTOEEY!
Ooo.. Titanic.. an alright movie, in it's own right. What made it bad in my eyes, was my ex-wife crying during the movie. Not because of the story... but... because she wanted to be seeing it with her lover at the time, and not me.
Charlie & the Chocolate Factory (2005) - not due to any of the acting, but solely due to script changes. Anybody who has read and loved the original books will be sorely disappointed by this version.
The lamest movies...
The new "Dukes of Hazard" with Jessica Simpson..
"Maid in Manhatten"
"Sky High" (Even kids would think this is lame)
"Children of The Corn, Revolution" (1rst one rocked)
tell you what?...that i still love you? that i want to be with you for the rest of our lives and that im stupid for leaving you? well thats what i wanted to say but like i said it wont change a thing, because you love ashton and i cant leave krystalynne.
The old Italian Job is even worse, actually. The chase scene never seems to end, and they keep replaying the soundtrack with these British guys singing, "We are the self-preservation society..."
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was one of my first thoughts even before I read it above, but Little Shop of Horrors is pretty bad too. Even so, the worst movie I have ever seen would have to be Frogs.
This was said about Frogs: "We both have vowed to never ever ever ever see it again." "A movie, with no plot, at all, what so ever." "Often times when I see a really horrible movie, I think to myself "How could they have possibly thought this was a good idea?" "This was the suckiest movie that I have ever seen. Whenever I watch it, I up because of the horrid acting and effects. Of course, if you're like me, and love to wet your pants watching corny horror movies, this one is a must. Otherwise, it was absolutely horrible."
as far as my mom is concerned… it's the home movie of one of my younger sister's births. That's cuz @ a very young age, me and my other sisters thought it was UTTERLY HYSTERICAL to keep playing it in reverse and watch her go back IN.
I think it was that kind of guy "auto-cross-legs-in-pain-at-the-very-idea" reaction.
What weird alternate Caedesian universe did I wake up in today...how can anyone NOT love Killer Tomatoes...especially when the guy is infiltrating the tomatoes and they are sitting around the campfire and he asks if anyone has any ketchup...it doesn't get any better than that!!! I have that movie AND its sequel.
Now I must agree with Pulp Fiction...I fell asleep, to me it was boring. Titanic was also a titanic bore. And don't get me started on all the recent re-makes (and slayings) of classic horror films. The Chainsaw remake had none of the spookiness of the Toby Hooper classic, it was just guts and gore but nothing else...I can go hang out downtown if I just want guts and gore. Riddick was disappointing as it lacked all the "badass-ness" of Pitch Black...I mean the character Riddick is supposed to be a major ass whooper...just didn't get it from the movie the way I did from Pitch Black. Stealth...watched it the other day on Starz and still wonder why I did. But the worst movie has to be my hubby's fave...Hudson Hawk.
I do have Attack of the Killer Tomatoes on DVD myself, although I was not aware there was a sequel. I personally like it because of all the disguises. :-)
I saw Ultraviolet in theaters a little bit ago...an aquaintance said it was going to be really good, but I don't think he had any idea what it was about. I guess he was looking for another Minority Report, only with a female lead.
The killer tomatoes is the one with the big giant tomato in the end or something. And all the little totatoes kill everyone. I watched it when i was...well a long time ago. That and the blob i kinda liked.
all the new movies now are remakes or the same plot as an older movie. Honestly, its kinda annoying, with the exception of War of the Worlds =P ..lol, and a few others.
Except the opening sequence with Geena Davis in a fairly hot bikini. Not ... not that I noticed. But ... Jim Carrey, and (I will never get the brothers Wayans names down)______ Wayans was in it as well.
Another, 'what were they thinking?' The producers must have only seen the script for the first 15 minutes, is what I am thinking. :oP
odd that you should choose to resurrect this long dead thread a year after Noah started it with his dodgy assessment of a classic (1963 version) or sharply observed critique (1990 version)
A) dracula 3000 - dracula, set in get this SPACE
B) matilda - i hate that dam movie
C)High school musical 1 & 2 - that dam movie shows an unrealistic version of high school with the worst written songs ever and an extremely faulty plotline
i know this thread might be a flop
