Well it's on the verge of being replaced, but the Fuji S3 Pro has suddenly gone from being a bit of an outsider curiosity to a major bargain. Yes, the S4 is to be built around the Nikon D200 but with a better sensor but the S3 is still a very good camera with most bods agreeing it has the best dynamic range of any other DSLR. Technology semantics aside - it’s essentially a jerry rigged 12MP camera that takes Nikon glass and is very well built. The best bit? Well here in the UK you can pick one up for less than a Nikon D70s if you shop around - that’s more than half the price that it was at the beginning of the year. Enjoy.
Fujifilm have now apparently extended this price 'adjustment' to all there markets although, for once, rip off Britain seams to be getting one of the better discounts :-) It is indeed a stock clearance as they attempt to clear the slow selling and curiously unpopular S3 to make way for the Nikon D200 based S4.
