philcUK: Well, see all the horror stories over at http://www.paypalwarning.com/ . My own complaints include poor rendering of their website in Mozilla, and a fraudulent charge that they were no help whatsoever in resolving. Their customer service sucks and their TOS requires you to waive credit card consumer protection, so you basically have no recourse. As a last resort I started to add then remove my credit card every time I did a Paypal transaction; now that doesn't work either. I quit.

Heres an idea start a seperate PayPal account and keep a smalll amount of cash in it then add the amount you want to send right before you send it.Just dont attach a credit card to it.I have looked over the link you posted and some of the complaints are not even paypals fault, for instance if you are stupid enough to give out your information just because someone sends you an email asking you kinda deserve what you get.
I've used paypal for a coupla years, and I can only sing high praises for them! Just get educated on the phishing schemes....never click any link in email to give out info-period!
