Why do people think they have to edit their photos, why can't they just post them on their own merits, and hope for the best. I hate it when I find a great photo, and find out it has been altered by the poster.

Just wishing for more pure photos.

rather than stew in your own juices .. ask .. you could say .. "hey, mr poster, I was wonderin' what this would look like without the photoshop hocus-pocus .. would you consider posting the original so that we, your fans, might compare side by side"

You could also show us how it's done .. by filling your gallery with pure photos ..

I think the reason is to improve the image. Most of the editing I do in my gallery doesn't actually change the image, but just the color balance, so it looks better.
