I was just wondering if anyone knew of how I could alter the resolutions of my pictures before I post them. I don't have any picture software and I've simply been using Microsoft Paint and cropping the picture by 50%. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated :)

You can use irfanview which is a free program.

Please be patient and a big eared baby w/a spinny propeller beanie cap will be along to give you instructions on how to use it 8•P

PhotoFiltre is another free program that is very user-friendly and works well. It can be found here: http://www.photofiltre.com/

If these don't help .. then come back with the dimensions of your image and what size you'd like it to be .. and I'll walk you through it using Irfanview .. (since I've uninstalled MS paint)

Hey guys! Thanx again for all of the comments! I downloaded Irfanview and it's awesome! I'm toying with the colours of ALL of my pictures! I'm surprised no one mentioned that it's addictive once you get started!

Google Microsoft Power Toys - Download the Image Resizer - right click on any image - Image resizer will show up in the context menu - click it and you will have several choices - click advanced and you can customize your photo to any size. Now, if some kind soul could teach me how to vote on this crazy site, I could continue boring you all with more of my photos! - Caedes will not let me upload anymore until I learn how to vote.

on the left side of your screen under "Navigation" you'll find the Voting Booth 8•)

Thanks Cat, but I've already tried that. Get an error message stating that I must first view a full size image which I have also done. I use firefox; wonder if this could be the reason. Anyway, my best to you and the Big Apple as we are burning up out here in the gingleweeds.

When you're in the voting booth, click on the image it shows you, that will pull up a full size image for you to view larger, and then you'll be able to vote on it 8•)

If you're doing that and still having a problem, send Caedes a pm so he can investigate. Other people use Firefox and I don't recall anyone mentioning having a problem in the booth before.

the voting booth does send errors occasionally .. It would be nice if there was an explanation of error numbers .. like

5444775 = even the server doesn't like this image and has voted on it for you
