i recently downloaded 2.02 apophysis at apophysis.org, them downloaded 2.02 at sourceforge, it had glitches but was usable. today my 2.02 became corrupt so i un-installed it. then my 2.04 became corrupt. it isn't located on my start/remove programs, nor is it listed on start/ all programs. i'd like to remove it and start over. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks a bunch!

2.04 isn't programmed into the computer...at least of what i know of, it's only in the folder it comes in :) so you just have to delete what it came in

Run a registry check also...if there are registry entries for the app, even deleting then reinstalling won't help...you need to clear the registry entries. If you dont have a registry checker, there are some good ones you can download as a free trial...for a basic one, PCRescue is decent.

On my computer 2.02 and 2.04 don't play nice together and once you've run 2.04 there's a good chance that 2.02 will stop working

2.02 has an installer and will set up some folders and structure in your system (including, I believe, an ADD-REMOVE listing) .. 2.04 does not and is "just" an executable ... so the safest thing is to just use 2.04 for now

if you remember where you placed apo204, look to see if it's still there (using windows explorer) .. if it is then right click on it and select "create shortcut" and it will create a file called .. "Shortcut to Apophysis204beta" .. or something similar .. then .. just drag this file out to your desktop .... or .. right click on apo204 and drag to your desktop, when you get to your desktop release the mouse button and there will be a small menu .. select "create shortcut here"

or .. right click on apo204 and select .. "Pin to Start Menu" .. and it will add a shortcut in the short list of programs in your START menu (not in the Start\Programs list)

I use Directory Opus instead of Windows Explorer .. so I'm not sure if the "pin to startmenu" is in windows explorer

see if this helps .. any questions = ask
