Can someone please tell me how long it takes to see a newly uploaded image appear in my gallery and in 'New Images'? Previously, I know it's only taken a matter of minutes, but I loaded a new image over two hours ago, and it's still not come 'live'. Is there a problem on site?

If you check the Users Online list on the left, there is no mod (+ symbol before username) online. Try uploading whenever you see a mod online - the image will take at the most 15 mins to appear in the New Images because the mod will check and approve of it ASAP. I have an image ready, but I'm currently waiting for a mod to sign in before uploading.

Though that sometimes doesn't work either....you have to kinda time 'em right, if you upload when the mods have a big back log / or everybody on site it seems is uploading all within the same 15 minute time span ....well you could still wait for upwards of 2 hours. It's happened to me before even when a mod was on site.

Hi Lauren, Many thanks for the additional information. I guess when a mod *does* come online, the poor lad (or lass) is going to find a sizeable backlog of new images to process.

It's now almost 4 hours since I submitted my new image, which is still awaiting the thumbs-up, and there's probably more than a handful of others before and behind me! (Grin)

the people with .. +, =, *, .. can approve your image at this time, there is talk of expanding that to include .. &

keep in mind that the list on the left isn't super accurate (like it's "live") .. that drained the server resources too much .. it is updated every 10 minutes, last I heard .. so it's possible to fall for the ol' .. ghost +mod of the lying list

and .. cursing their ancestry doesn't help .. I've already tried that

lol...A good hour ago I uploaded an image when a ghost mod was online, but I missed by a fraction of a second. *groan* Now I'm waiting for another to sign on...

Basically: post at night, wake up in the morning and your picture is there. Whats good about this technique is it only feels like 10 mins has gone by!
