Hi, I'm a new member and was wondering if anyone has ever tried anything book or writing related? An abstract, of course, but something themed for a writer's desktop? And if there's something on Caedes that you already know about that's like what I'm describing, I'd appreciate you telling me about it! :-) Thanks!

Excellent! Grabbed 'em both. The text one opens the door to enormous possibilities, yes? Imagine reducing the size of the font and trying for the complete text of ... oh, I don't know. Something! A hundred Emily Dickinson poems? An entire short story? Classic public domain essays? (Like Joseph Conrad's piece about the sinking of the Titanic.) Having all those words on the desktop is wonderful. Terrific job, and thanks again!

sadly there are distinct limitations on the legibility of text on screens when they are rendered as rasterised images like these - the Raven image is probaby as small as you can reasonably go - especially on smaller screens :-)

personally .. I think handwritten caligraphy would make a more pleasing concept .. even if the hands doing the writing are computer hands (ie = fonts)

HERE is 19 pages of writing related images .. you'll need an account to actually download anything (free) .. but you may get some ideas from them

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

Shamless plug, but here's mine.

I'm a bookworm and I also write, so it seemed like the thing to do. ;)
