My better half surprised me with a Kodak Easy Share Z650 for my birthday .. gotta love it! LOL
The thing is, I have 5 days to decide if I want to keep it or return for full refund to get something else. I was hoping some of you folks who are better versed in camera specs could tell me if it looks like a decent camera or not.
Look here .... Kodak

I'm going to throw my SD card in it, and play with it a bit, and as long as I haven't opened the manual/software package, I will be able to return it.
It seems to have a lot of pros, and I guess the worst of the cons would be that it doesn't have image stabilization, or manual focus capabilities.
Are there any other glaring problems you all can see? I know there are many better cameras on the market, but this one is in our "Budget" price range, and I konw I won't be able to get ALL the features I would like for what I can afford.

Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I would approach it like this .. "hey, free camera" .. ;o) .. kodak_z650 @ dpreview.com

but seriously .. It's a digital camera that gets you into the world of instant gratitification photography ... what you need to factor in is, what type of photos do you want to take .. MACRO ? .. Long Exposure ? .. or .. just your basic scenics, and family type stuff and then check immediately whether this camera suits your needs for that interest

learn your menus .. learn how to make the camera jump through hoops at a moments notice .. be in command, take charge .. not like me, who lets his camera frustrate him to the point of not using it

Thanks .. good advice.
I just want an all around good camera that will do whatever I might want, including macros, etc.
I believe this one will do me just fine.
