While speaking with Klas, he had the idea to propose a permanent gallery for the macros or closed-up. I think it is a brilliant idea. We have a great number of members taking this kind of photos and excellent examples disseminated in many galleries...

i just took a look at the photogallary... will i was wondering if its possible to be able to search only one part of the galary rather than just clicking on photo and then navigating. I have a really slow internet service and would make things easier... haha who knows maybe im just lazy
I have moved a few images from the "Nature" gallery into the "Macro" gallery... it was quite difficult to decide what qualified as "Macro" and what was just a close up, so I have left quite a few that can probably be moved. But you will be glad to know that all the shroom pics are in there... :-)
Wonderful! :D Thanks caedes for making a new gallery for macro shots. It's a rather large quantity of my shots that are either macro or close-ups. It's a delicate question to decide whether a photo is just close-up or macro... Tricky.
I also moved many images from the 'nature' gallery into the 'macro' gallery.
Say me if I had a good judgement...
Klas asked me to move two of his pictures, named 'Limelight on Media' & 'Reflections on Media'. But can we mix images 'nature>macro (or close-up)' with images 'other>macro'?
What do you think?
I guess what you need to decide is when you go to the macro gallery, what are you going there expecting to see? For me it would be nature pics, but I never considered that other images might go there.
OK I had a look... you certainly have been busy! I don't agree with every choice but the majority are pics that I also considered moving. Also I don't have a macro lens, so maybe your judgement is better than mine.
I just thought it was more of a gallery standing on it's own. And not being a subgallery just to the nature gallery. Macro is more a technique of how to shoot than the choice of subject I think. It's a whole another matter if the images I was referring to is close enough to be considered a macro shot. I can't go any closer with my camera in macro mode though...
Yes. You're right Klas. It's not a subgallery of the 'nature' gallery.
But for me, it's a 'macro & close-up' gallery. Right?
If you agree, we can put there all macro & close-up, nature or not... :-)
I think that's prbably the best way to do it. :) Thanks for the great work on this one. I'm going to enjoy to go throught the whole gallery in the near future. :D
I think you should consider any close-up, for example a telephoto shot of a leaf set at an extremely narrow depth of field, to be included in this gallery. Also, manipulations and renderings that could be considered as "close up" in the macro sense.
Caedes: please... ;-)
