Code-mangling? Security-risking? Never updated? Sluggard?
For one, i dont have anything to be stolen of, except my name! And maybe a few passwords i could care less about. Code mangling? Er, lost me there. lol. Never updated, i hate updating things, takes a few seconds of my time/wait to do anyways. Sluggard? Thats why i dont use firefox, i always find it crashes and stuff....must be a personal experience?

for the first time.
i am scared to even type it. i agree w.the timmy. explorer gets you viruses. unless you.re planning a collection. i suggest you switch to firefox
Opera: A decent browser, not that familiar with it.
Netscape: Use either IE or Firefox Rendering Engine, a bit bulky.
SeaMonkey: Internet Suite, with Email, Internet, and more.
Mozilla: Very similar to SeaMonkey
Just don't risk the security issues of Internet Explorer!

Noah,
Firefox is just as straight forward as Internet Explorer, but you can skin it, to make it look how you want it to, you can install extentions to block ads, you can do so much more, and give web developers a break from mangled code.

Firefox is by Mozilla, although there was a Mozilla browser.
Opera is quite good, although some sites apparently don't cater for it...although I have never had trouble with it. I'm currently using version 8.54, although version 9 is out at the moment.

Pm isnt nessesary...little difficulty on how to view pictures! You have to select the pics u want to view, then press slideshow. OO, pain in the buttocks. I find going to start -->mypics and clicking on a pic is easier. Anyways....

You are an idiot. Honestly, Firefox is more stable, faster, more secure, and is so much more useful than Internet Explorer could ever be. http://mozilla.com/
Its right on that front page. Download it. Try it. Love it. Move on, Mr. Security-wise Stupid.

*update!* This post has been written in Firefox. Oh yeah. Your right, it is slightly better. The tab thing is pretty kewl, and when a page is loading on something else it doesnt flip back to that window b4 when its done. (i found that the most annoying on explorer).
I use Maxthon (which uses IE) and Firefox. Those of you who like Firefox and Sea Monkey - have a look at K-Ninja Samurai HERE Super fast, uses Mozilla engine, tabbed browsing.
I love it :)

Gr8, i found 2 things to complain about..actually the first is a user error..but anyways.
1) Why doesnt ctrl+t work to open a new tab? I have to do the file-->new tab instead.
2) I was on the rocketry forum and everytime i want to see a picture on there, it brings up a new window, then it asks if i want to save it to disk or just open it, then I open it, then it brings up the download box, then it opens up my image viewer and i see the picture. *whew*. On the other hand, explorer you just click on the image and it pops up in its on window (1 click). Is there away around this?

Explorer: In explorer it just opens a window with the picure (total of 2 cliks and a grand total of half a second)...
Firefox: 1 window asking to open or save 1 other window of firefox thats blank 1 other window to view the picture. So then i have to click a total of 2 times to open it, and another 3 to close bringing it to a grand total of 5 clicks and 2 seconds of my time.
Is there a way to make the firefox's 5 clicks turn into 2 clicks?

Hahaha, it was just the settings being messed up. It works fine now. tools-->options...then you have to say, no download box, automatically open with firefox, then some other stuff.
Sry to bother, works good now. www.rocktryforum.com if you wanted to try.
*edit* the download box still appears... -.- , i thought putting the check in the box saying: do this from now on would do the trick.

IE did not kill my computer btw! Firefox is killing me! Though the tabs are addicting. Other than the tabs and the annoying picture viewing, thats the only noticable differance.
I cannot say a single GOOD thing about using IE...
I mean when I get those crazy urges to crash my pc via trojans, spyware and all those other nasties, I get on IE...when I get a wild hair to be hacked, I use IE, when I feel some crazy urge for my pc to freeze and require numerous rebooting, I use IE...but alas, those wild days of mine are few and far between, so I use boring, stable Firefox.

Widgits! Ooooo, i have those on my desktop actually (or i think i do). Its one of those things where anytime, (its hidden on top of all windows) u just bring ur mouse to the top and a little little apple looking toolbar pops up. Its actually kinda nice has all my shortcuts on it. I used to have the widget thing where u press f5 or f8 cant remember then another programs fades everything out and has this window of awesome looking things. I should find that again.
