I WAS going out to watch fireworks. now i'm staying home so I can keep slathering and I don't have to put cloth on my shoulders and make them hurt 8•(

Yes i fly like a fairy....i grow little wings from time to time. Oh btw, in all my holy dorkiness, star trek is on all day on G4. =P

I've got the NASA channel on. Just watched them climb aboard, get strapped in and start sealing and pressurizing. Got the smoker going and the racks of ribs out of the beer marinade to be rubbed down ( I make my own BBQ sauce to be painted on later) And I've got a trunkload of pyrotechnics. ( I like three inch shells) I don't know why we just get these things a couple of times a year, I could make an evening out of lighting fuses anytime.

I have a bad feeling about this launch...hmm, how unusual.

Happy July 4th to all my American friends from Canada...now, how to find my way down to Kilie's place...sounds like a great party to crash with some good eats and fireworks.:Pat.

Actually we're still a mere toddler as a country. When you travel overseas, to Europe, Asia, etc. you really get a sense for antiquity. Thousands of years of empires, battles, cultures, ruins, and on and on.

But despite America's recent downturn in popularity among the rest of the world, I'm still proud to be here, live here and stay true to the red, white & blue.

Today I'm celebrating by staying home with my hubby, cleaning house (fun, huh?) and possibly going to see some fireworks if the rain lets up.

Happy Fourth of July everyone ! Hope it was happy & safe & fun ! Just got home from camping since Friday, where it rained every single day. I lost 5 pounds of mud when I showered, I swear it !
