where would someone persay upload an illustration?.. there aren't a whole lot of options, doesn't quite fit in computer; i tend to think of computer as 3D rederings, it could go in Abstract, but to be abstract it has to be non-subjective, and that would leave etcetera, but the subcategories there, are a little oddly defined...

any suggestions?.. or maybe i just suggested a new gallery..

You're correct that there isn't a good place for it at this time. We've not recieved many such images, so it would be best to upload to the Etcetera gallery. Once there are enough images to warrant an illustration gallery we'll create one.

i dunno - maybe if you had a seperate gallery for bryce/terragen nonsense and leave the computer section for illustrative computer creations - would that work any better?

but then where would we categorize hand drawings/illustrations which have merely be scanned and touched up?.. its a drawing so its not a manipulated photo..

Personally I think "Abstract" is the most appropriate place for the time being. My understanding was always that the "ETC" gallery was for works by people other than the person who posted it, EG a famous artist...

Ah, but my point is that if Michelangelo posted an image HIMSELF, then it wouldn't go in etc, it would go in abstract...

so, maybe we should have a helpful descriptive element to the galleries? some of it is just a little vague

There is a lot happening with the galleries at the moment. I think we will all just have to wait and see how it all turns out.

if you open a gallery, then it will fill up. don't worry about having somthing to put in it? it will blossom like the photos and this website. right? or am i too optimistic! this is per-say like fishing. It only works if you make the cast, and reel in the line or you won't catch any fish....
