Flowers From The Abyss by Aeires
Created with Fractal Explorer, it's one of my oldest fractals. Decided to go with a more minimalist approach to give more room for icons.

Bergen-Belsen Information Centre by coram9
The information centre of the Bergen-Belsen Concentration camp. A stark minimalist concrete building, an inhuman piece of architecture documenting the inhuman activities in this place of death.

The Holy Grail by jswgpb
We went minimalistic on this one, it looked better that way. I'll let you draw your own conclusions about the name. :) Thanks for the views and comments. J

Come Fly With Me (2) by danika
A lone seagull along the Mississippi River. Sort of minimalistic ... but hey, sometimes that's a good thing.

Thanks to everyone! :-)

Jack in Black by allisontaylor
From a visit to a very minimalistic zoo last December. I called him Jack because of his happy go lucky attitude. I can't say I am drawn more to B/W's but since the photo was dark and white already... I am on the fence with this since his original pink nose seemed to offset the dark eyes. Additionally I cloned off his collar, so... maybe I didn't deform the poor animal too much.

coldgold by kungfool
This is my first submission to Caedes.net I used Bryce 5.5. The rounded cube shape is my favorite, and I like minimalistic wallpapers, so I came up with this. Please let me know what you think. Also, my wallpaper was designed for widescreen, if you're interested here is the original: (too big to submit to caedes.net) http://img96.imageshack.us/my.php?image=coldgold1yw.jpg

Snow Bird by danika
A Goldfinch (female) found a place to enjoy to rest & enjoy her meal. I intended this image to be simplistic / minimalistic. I first did a full screen version & then a cropped one ... I decided on the cropped version in the end.

Thanks much for all views / comments. Enjoy your day & keep warm through this artic blast.

Checkmate? by Morat
One of my first macro shots with my new camera (an A620) which seems to be able to get rather closer than my old Minolta. Looking forward to getting in some more practice with it, and fielding the negative comments from this rather minimalist image :)

Astral Highway by laurengary
A little minimalistic, I know but I really liked this not to mention the iced lavender gradient. Hope you all enjoy this different road !

Minimalist Seagull by thecpn
A simple shot of a seagull flying at a state park by the ocean. I just pointed and clicked, and the shot came out more interesting than I thought.

A bit self indulgent but some of you may like this. I have a few different versions, this is the "minimalist" one.

More images and prints available in my Deviant art and Redbubble galleries.

Minimal Art #1 by smarti_J
As most of the fractals composed with Apophysis are more or less overwhelming I tried something more minimalistic with it. Tell me if you like that. I've got some more of those. Used Apophysis 2.05beta and Paint.Net for improving the collors a bit.

Essence of the Guggenheim by Samatar
Went looking for something to go in the "Minimalist" contest, this seemed quite appropriate. Perhaps it might be a bit too simple but it does capture the essence of the building I think.

A Minimalist View Of Minimalism by braces
My entry for the competition.

Steve Reich is one of the leading minimalist composers in the world.

"Clapping Music" is one of his most famous compositions, as is "Six Pianos".

Vertical blind by quartzite
Slightly different and close-up view of a vertical blind. Couldn't decide on the best part to have in focus and took a couple of different shots, this one I think is the best result. Works quite well as a simple, slightly minimalistic desktop.

Molten Band by edoctober
When I think of sunsets I picture skies filled with clouds, their bellies beaming reds and yellows in a general celestial conflagration. There was none of that in this minimalist Florida Sunset. Still it drew a crowd. Once the sun disappeared everyone applauded and one group sang, "You Are My Sunshine." Dear old Sol, he's ninety-three million miles away but we follow him wherever he goes.

rock in the lake by jashapiro10
The rising of Lake Kinneret's (ISRAEL) water level presented me with this minimalist picture. The opposite shore and sky almost blend together, leaving the rock by its self alone on the lake. This was taken with a Pentex Kx, iso 200; F13 at 8 sec; late afternoon in March 2011.

The Dharma Gate by laurengary
Something a little Zen... for Pat, AKA mesmerized & her Stillness Speaks Challenge. Actually, this is my second entry into her challenge, though my first new one.

I felt that the soft flowing lines in the middle, the minimalistic palette, plus the endless circles were all conductive to a restful, calming, serene & soothing image..... perfect for whatever you need it to be.

Oh ! Please full view it if you're curious, there is some faint framing of the circles that's hard to see in the thumbnail, thanks. ;-)

Sky and Walls by Mythmaker
Had to delete the first upload of this as it was crooked, strange how sometimes you don't see it until you share it. He He. This is an outdoor sculpture/installation in the grounds of the Australian National Gallery here in Canberra. I've got a couple of shots from this site, all pretty abstract and minimalist. My aesthetics, in a wide range of arenas, tend to either baroque complexity or minimalist elegance with not much in between. Which do you think this is? :)

Enjoy.

Mikel.

PS, apologies if you already commented on the first version and then had it disappear on you.
