Tunnel Vision by tigger3

Flmngseabass: Well looky here!!!!! First place!!! Nice going Sandi. A well deserved win for sure:)

corngrowth: Sandi, congratulations for winning the 'Point Of View' contest.
Very well done, my friend!

trixxie17: I too think this is a great entry for the contest Sandi! I like that it really gives the viewer a claustrophobic feeling.

Getting An Eiffel Looking Up by gr8fulted

jerseygurl: Spectacular shot and an excellent entry in the current contest!!!:-):-):-)

Nikoneer: Oh, I love shots like this, looking straight up into a massive construct (like this one and that one). Loaded with repetitive lines, contrasts in color and light, an a perspective not normally seen. I'm assuming you mentioned Point of View because it's now in the contest? It's perfect for that. If you were visiting there I'm sure you discovered that the tower, like New York's Empire State Building, was intended to act as a dirigible mooring station... [see images in Paris and in New York].

Definitely saved and into my favorites, thanks. A little more history: Gustave Eiffel also built the Statue of Liberty, chosen to replace the original builder of choice after the man died in 1879.

Happy Trails

3rd place
"Crossing the Arno River" by icedancer

Nikoneer: Looks like the river wall is as colorful as some of the buildings, covered with graffiti, even when it's painted out. The river channel appears to have been straightened out and controlled by turning it almost into a canal, over the many years that it's been "civilized", a common method of flood control. As wide as it is here the source must be a long way off.... so I looked for it. According to the atlas, the Arno runs over half the width of Italy, originating in the Tuscany mountains. I wonder what this view looks like at night with the windows lit and maybe boat lights on the water. Will be watching for more.

4th place
Artist At Work by bfrank

LynEve: Congrats on the placement Frank !

Flmngseabass: Very creative and fun Frank!!! Appropriate perspective I would say:)

corngrowth: Frank, congratulations for your 4th place in the 'Point Of View' contest.
Very well done, my friend!

5th place
Take A Look by jerseygurl

Nikoneer: Aaahhh, I see it's now in the contest. Good. It does fit the category well, the Point-Of-View tightly controlled by what you can see through that viewer. Good thing you have a camera that allows you and us to see so much more.
