Hello Ron...This is a lovely picture of the horses at liberty...The way they are looking they have certainly engaged with you and your camera...Spot on Ron....Well done....All the very best to you Ron......Mick.
My favourite has always been the father, Ben Cartwright. Very handsome .... My late uncle whom I loved dearly used to say after the end of each part: "Not bad, but not enough of fist fighting!" LOL *weep weep* SAM
I loved watching Bonanza. A very poignant title and thought. Things were just less complicated back then, although no era was ever ideal. But I hate to think that the current era will be idealized by our children and children's children. Tom
I was in the middle of adolescent angst when I saw the first Bonanza episode, and I promptly fell in love with Little Joe... They're all gone now, such is life... but they left their beautiful horses behind, like these two, and horses are always beautiful to look at. Love the rolling hills surrounding them too... Good 'un, Mr. Tick. mary
Little Joe is in heaven with Hop Sing, Hoss, Ben and Adam.
I have mixed feelings about your shot, TicK. Galloping horses aren't very common on my photo adventures; so I might have been tempted to crop out much of the landscape around the horses. On the other hand, the surrounding vacant lands really add a nice touch in showing the freedom that there horses enjoy. It is a beautiful background; so I think you made the right choice. How do you get them to run right at you? Do you dress up like a carrot or a cube of sugar?
Little Joe walked off into the sunset, until he came upon some little house on some prairie somewhere! Then he hit the road again, on some highway to Heaven. Then he took the literal road to heaven....I hope! If he stopped off somewhere in between, I can't remember! Great looking shot, Tick!
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
I still watch Bonanza and had also visited the Ponderosa Ranch several years ago. It is no longer there. The Horse shot is magnificent, as usual, Tick!
Are you referring to Little Joe Cartright? He rode a black and white horse. But, I like the theme of your image. Values have rode off into the sunset, that's for sure.
Little Joe is still on late night reruns...where all the other good stuff went. :) Nice pic, lotsa pixels, enjoy horses in the field with their heads up.
