She seems to be surrounded by suitors that are vying to get the next dance at the annual Spring Ball. Either that or the other ladies have turned green with envy. Your choice.
Just like life - half pity half joy. I have been hoping to see myself as a queen of the ball, but the one which I saw seems satisfactory, enough ... SAM
Well she does look pretty in pink, but her beauty and poise pale in comparison with this true Southern Belle. A lovely capture of the trees, Tick. I would say you could stand to lighten the shadows to brighten the scene up some.
I don't think I would have attempted the shot. It's not one of those neat and tidy shots with clearly defined edges and negative space. I'm not saying I don't like it, but I just don't have the cajones to try a shot of a bunch of trees. Obviously without the color the shot wouldn't really have a focal point. The color makes the shot.
Typically, TicK, I don't care for frames, but this one adds a pleasing touch to the shot. I'm more confused than usual. Is this a recent shot? I had no idea that spring has arrived in Missouri. I've seen these colors out here but am surprised that everything is blooming in mid-February. Beautiful colors and a lovely sky. A perfect picture postcard.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
I'll be posting a "walking tree" soon. I'll give him a tip too. This lady looks great. The one on the right is green with envy. The one on the left (dark green) is a man. Yes Tick we are both a little, shall I say, - to put it mildly :) - over imaginative?
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
I can't make up my mind if this makes me think of Lucy, Red Buttons, or Eric The Red. Maybe Phyllis Diller! LOL. Not sure that I would want to dance with any of them at a Ball....Lucy would step on my feet, Phyllis would burn me with her cigarette, and the other two just aren't my type! LOL. Excellent shot, Tick.
