Someone mentioned in this post they would like to see more of the barn. Normally I don't post two of the same shot but I actually had taken one closer so this is not a crop.

When I first started taking photos of barns to post, they were full size with little background. Slowly I started showing them as more a part of the landscape. I look at our old barns like some folks looks at castles. Since we don't have the latter, I shoot the former. I suspect somewhere in between the closeup and the landscape view lies the best shot. I think in the future, I will just let the personality of the barn make the decision for me.

I really like the close-up of this neat old dilapidated barn. These old beat up structures have an appeal & charm of their own & I never get tired of seeing them. ...Ed

Old Mr. Paris would have been proud Tick. I too like the shots showing more of the land around the barns.

One thing I did notice on this shot. Is it my imagination or is that a missile sticking up out of that barn? lol. Enjoyed yesterday's shot more but this one is still a great shot.

Just don't start tilting at windmills in your quest for barn art. A lovely looking scene, Tick. Nice clarity and details in the photo. Good work with this version.

Tick - This is quite a barn. I like seeing it in the larger setting. A bit of chromatic noise in the sky from post-photo work, though. Thad
