Spent the afternoon at Mark Twain Lake recently and enjoyed the surroundings even though spring had not yet arrived. There were very few people to disturb the landscape so that was a good thing. When you are commenting, remember this quote from Mark Twain: Substitute "damn" every time you're inclined to write "very"; your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be. More shots and quotes to follow.

Well, TicK...

This shot is a burst of colors. Love what you've done with the light. Interesting how those orange stones turn to monotone in the shade. Looks like a cloudless California sky to me, but I see no noise. Damn nice composition as well.

I think we just use damn to vary our writing. But he's right ... not needed. Enjoyed this beautiful shot.

Tick - you have a good poker face, so I can't tell if you bluffin' or not in this post. I for one cannot see the dam in the photo, it must be blocked by the rock outcropping. Good textures, colours and lighting in the scene.

After seeing the photos of the lake in the link I have a feeling that you may be bluffing. I am not saying anything to be on the safe side. Nice image of the lake.

If it wasn't for the leafless trees I'd say this upload looks almost tropical, what with the sunshine, and blue sky. A Beautiful scenic shot Tic.
