I never do well in the contests so I decided not to put much effort into this one. I went all the way with the simple theme.
I had to go to the bank and I was using the drive thru window because, well it's easy. I was behind Mrs. Pigeon who was making a deposit. I had my little Canon A3100 Is PowerShot point and shoot. This tree and three more just like it are next to the bank parking lot. I pulled the truck over, I did get out and use a little effort which is against the theme I know. I pointed the little devil towards the sky and presto, there were blossoms and marshmallow clouds.
I went home, downloaded the photos onto the computer, picked one out, sent it to Photofiltre, added one click of contrast, resized for Caedes and this is what I got. No fancy framing, no noise reduction or no added saturation. Photoshop never laid eyes on this baby. Don't figure it will do anything in the contest, but then I am out no effort at all. This might be my favorite contest.

It really is a beauty of an image, TicK. It's hard to believe that the trees are in bloom this early in March. There will be a blizzard next week followed by an ice storm and a very deep freeze with wind chills of -32°F.
You tend to get screwed in contests as far as I'm concerned. It all started when you switched out your entry of the hot rod in the abstract contest. It's been downhill from there for you.
I think the contest is "Simplicity" not lazy. Still a fine shot and I do love those clouds.

Simple is best!...It's amazing what these wee compacts can do!...many would be grateful if they could snap the likes of these with their costly DSLR's...

I like this; this is how a desktop ought to be! Bright and cheerful. I feel slightly dizzy as though I'm leaning back looking up, and the clouds are scudding by... that's a good feeling.
