I suspect you think I have cabin fever from all the posting I have done of the Florida Cabins. All I know is that I have taken to using Log Cabin syrup on my pancakes. You can review what I am talking about starting here.. If you look just to the right of the big tree on the left, you can see Another Florida Cabin II peeking out. I learned right from left in the service but not very well at times.

I finally got my email from the Amish regarding this post. They said they preferred the black and white cabins to the others. I didn't reply but I thought the pigeon was delicious.

Doc (Antonio) has been very supportive of the Mark Twain series and has provided some quotes in his comments. So this quote is for him: Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint.

So what's the deal with this cabin, TicK? Is this the original duplex. That can't be an atrium with two of the four sides missing. Doesn't look wide enough for a horse and buggy; so it can't be a carport...rather a buggy port. I can see why you're using log cabin syrup. Those drapes used to be table clothes at the International House of Pancakes.

Looks like some of the smaller branches were burned out by the sky. An excellent shot for most people, but nothing as good as a usual TicK shot in my humble opinion. A little too dark for my tastes, oddly composed with the right side chopped off and just too many shades of gray. Black and white is tougher than most people think. I dabble with it but typically prefer color. I assume that this is Kansas before Dorothy opened the door after she landed in Oz.

Years ago I wanted to build a log cabin to live in, but decided to up grade my ambitions to a trailer. Not sure I made the right decision or not. A trailer doesn't look that good in color OR black and white! LOL. I really like this shot with the color taken away. It gives it class. Nice job, Tick.

The B/W suits the age of the cabin. Those were the days when the photographer with his wooden tripod shouted "cheese" and removed the lens cap for a full second. Even the cabin gave a toothless smile then. Good B/W Tick.

In this capture I prefer the B&W version. Although I really like the sun on the backside of the cabin in the color version. That's settles it , clear as mud, huh. The thing is they both great shots in color and B&W . Both versions have their merits. Great series !

Yer stickin' like syrup to those cabins!...aint'cha!..

'Nother good and detailed post!...A slight exposure in the sky, but the B&W pulls out the contrasts here

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
