Americano #1

There are many interesting sights strung along the highways and byways of America. I have been taking shots of the unusual for years and thought I might share a few from time to time. I didn't try to make it look old. I wanted it to look like it was when I saw it. If you want it black and white, feel free to wring the color out of it. I cloned nothing out because sometimes the background has a bit of Americano as well. Enjoy.

What a great shot and find Tick . I love how the Native American is on a Paint bareback . I agree with you 100% sometimes leaving things as they truly are is the best bet. Great post ... made me smile.

Wow, TicK!! Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Action scenes like this don't happen very often, and you were lucky enough to be right in the middle of it. Hopefully nobody was injured. I detect some motion blur, but that's not surprising considering the insane pace of the action. The wild west just as I remember it.

Sincerely,

The late Dorothy Custer

Funny and Priceless capture and the title is perfect, this made me chuckle. I remember when I use to play cowboy & Indians on my real quarter horse, nicknamed Paint.

You take care of yourself, plus enjoy those baseball games of your grandsons plus it's great to see you post once in a while. ♥ Skates ♥

With the sun shade flap coming off the back of his flat top cap, the guy in the middle looks like an escapee from the film "Beau Geste." It's interesting what one can derive from a photo. By using the La Grange sign in the background, as well as the phone number on the sign, we can determine that the street going past these sculptures is North Main Street in Jefferson City, Missouri, and that the Mark Twain Wildlife Refuge, on the Mississippi River, is about a block away to your left. I think Mark Twain would have approved of the oddity you've captured here.

Nice capture here mate!...It is good to deviate away 'from the norm' ..so to speak eh!..
