What a cool shot, great color and lighting. I am being pulled right up the drive. I love the house ... scary yes but I still like it. Well done. Jen-Nay

Primo shot, TicK. One of the best I've seen in a very long time. The vertical mode shots just really don't set well with me. What I would like to do is turn my monitor 90° and enjoy this shot at full screen size. I guess I could download it, rotate the shot 90° and physically turn my monitor; but I'd rather not go through the trouble.
Okay...so the shot is portrait mode and I have gray blanks on each side of the image on my monitor. Live with it and comment on the shot, Dorothy.
Nifty windmill, groovy house, spiffy vines on the windmill, fab sky and keeno dirt road. I'm surprised at the recent tire tracks unless they're yours because the house looks abandoned from here. I'm hoping that you have some shots that are a bit more up close and personal.
I see what you mean about leaving a little noise in the sky. It does help to add depth to the sky.
Well, I just downloaded your shot and rotated it. No flaws. Suitable for framing and hanging on my wall. A beauty. 9.47897 out of 10. Faves for me, an AC nomination, two hips and one hurrah!
Lovely composition and great use of vanishing point. Nice use of subtle HDR to emphasise the clouds too :) I love seeing shots like this as they seem like something from a movie to me. We have nothing like this Britain!

Perfect composition, Tick. You've united (be glad that the dramatic sky was that helpful to you, lol) all the elements to create a wonderful and very moody image. For me there was only one possibility: to S+F your image instantly. Thanks, Owd Fella!

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
OOOOH, would make a great set for a spooky movie. Not a place I would like to be when the night noises begin. Great atmosphere captured Tick, and well presented.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Oh my goodness, of all your old building shots, this really does have to be my fave. It does look as though your nerve would give out as closer to the house you get... Almost looks liek something out of Walking Dead... I have to live there xx
I like how you underexposed the shot (or later in post processing) to give it a gloomy feeling. The detail in the grass is also nice. If only the wind pulled the windmill around so it was facing you. Nice capture!
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
