There was a lot going on in my part of the world last week. The same day this house was being moved, a giant water softener was also being moved. The local electric company was busy all day raising and disconnecting power lines. The water softener was being transported from Morton, Illinois when it went through my part of the world. It will eventually end up in Canada. It was over 19.5 feet high on the trailer. I never could find out the length or weight, but I am guessing the trailer is at least 42 feet long.

It went by my house which is about two miles on Highway 136 to the right. My daughter and grandsons are standing just above the intersection on the left. Only one of my grandsons is visible. My son-in-law is in the white truck behind the police car. He works for the electric company. He is now in the Baton Rouge area helping restore electricity after Hurricane Isaac disrupted service. We had more people along the roads for the house moving and the softener move then we do at our annual parades. Go figure.

aw, come on, Tick. You know it's moonshine if it's coming to Canada. We have no other access routes except along the West coast, and they keep it all for themselves.
Let me know when and where it's crossing the border.
