A very unusual assembly of objects here Tick. The bale of straw. the deeply buried post and the mail box make for a very unusual combination. Trust you to find something like this. I am stumped but must say that it is amusing and unusual.
I'm surprised all the insulators haven't been stolen, Tick. It's either that, or used for target practice, depending on how remote. Certainly innovative and a conversation piece.
Let's see the Plow take that one Down... I should have Thought of this, Years ago! Tough to find the Old insulating Glass in these Parts nowadays! Nice find and Presentation, Tick!!
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
I love your new e-mail address Tick! I can see that your technology is state of the art! I don't decorate my mailbox, but like to see what others do with theirs. Very nice shot and find buddy! Also love the big old bale behind the mailbox.
Can't say I've ever seen a mailbox post like that one before...I suppose if there's ever downed lines in that area, and the local utility is real hard-up for equipment, it's ready for hook-up...
I dunno... I'm thinking more like "gmail"... as in glass. I've seen a lot of unique mailbox posts in my many travels around my state but I can't say I've ever seen anything like this. Made me grin.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
Nice sharp image. I like the scene. Those glass phone pole toppers are now antiques and used as decorations. I remember when they used to decorate the poles. You are a mailbox watcher I can see. Some pretty neat ones out there.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Tick - It appears that the telescoping pole can head to the sky to get airmail too! A most unusual find presented well with the farmland background. Thad
I'm sorry I missed this image earlier, but in my defense I had the spam filter turned on. Good clarity, colours and lighting in the photo. A nice perspective on this interesting find, Tick.
