A very unusual assembly of objects here Tick. The bale of straw. the deeply buried post and the mail box make for a very unusual combination. Trust you to find something like this. I am stumped but must say that it is amusing and unusual.

I'm surprised all the insulators haven't been stolen, Tick. It's either that, or used for target practice, depending on how remote.
Certainly innovative and a conversation piece.

It says approved by the postmaster general. Does that mean the mailbox, or everything else, too? Pretty neat shot, Tick.

I love your new e-mail address Tick! I can see that your technology is state of the art! I don't decorate my mailbox, but like to see what others do with theirs. Very nice shot and find buddy! Also love the big old bale behind the mailbox.

Can't say I've ever seen a mailbox post like that one before...I suppose if there's ever downed lines in that area, and the local utility is real hard-up for equipment, it's ready for hook-up...

Unusual image, Cap'n...Faved...

I dunno... I'm thinking more like "gmail"... as in glass. I've seen a lot of unique mailbox posts in my many travels around my state but I can't say I've ever seen anything like this. Made me grin.

Nice sharp image. I like the scene. Those glass phone pole toppers are now antiques and used as decorations. I remember when they used to decorate the poles. You are a mailbox watcher I can see. Some pretty neat ones out there.
