This Cardinal stayed in a tree outside my house guarding Mrs. C, who was on a nest in a rosebush by my backdoor this spring. She was trying to hatch three eggs, but the cold and rainy wet weather allowed only one to hatch. It was nice to see her on the nest when I went into the house. I might post a photo of her later.
This is dedicated to our good friend Cornelius (Corngrowth) who is by his wife's side in her time of need. Some call him Mr. C and I prefer to call him Sea since he is a retired Sea Captain. Keep all of his family in your prayers.

Sweet birdy shot Tic, the textured background adds further interest to the photo. We had an awful winter/spring for the wildlife here in the UK, and it seems you've had a few problems over there too!

I'm sorry, TicK, but I just can't find anything on this shot to bitch about. The background is chocked full of so many textures, twists and turns that I would have been satisfied without you giving me the bird. The lighting and contrast are flawless, but your unique vision came up with one of the nicest laying jobs I've seen in a very long time. Faves and an AC nomination. You continue to grow.
