The tall grass was perfect for this horse to roam around grabbing a nibble now and again. It was not perfect for an unsuspecting photographer who could no see what was hidden in the grass. Green, grass serves as a laxative for most animals and this pasture was no exception. The road apples from horses aren't so bad when firm, but when the texture becomes somewhat flimsy, they make for messy shoes. Deer and rabbits just leave little pellets that are almost unnoticeable, but "Heaven Forbid" a cow wanders upon such a place. The ground becomes covered with a slimy green that not only saturates the ground, but hangs on the weeds. Need I say what happens when you brush against these said weed? If this scene is over-saturated, you now know why.

I liked the light play in this scene and hope you do as well. If you think it stinks. well you the know answer to that.

A "sumptuous" and beautiful green all around and the horse right in there. Why have they never invented something like a "mine detector" to avoid such droppings in the dark. Nice capture Tick.

You are getting into your old shape - at least as far as the narratives are concerned LOL
The picture altogether is nice provided you admit it out loud that the pic was taken months ago, in spring or summer...

Sometimes a subject that is partially hidden from our view gives more satisfaction because it allows our imagination to fill in the blanks. We also get to see what the subject, in this case the horse, will do when it doesn't know it's being observed. At that point it stops being livestock and becomes an individual. I like it. -Nik
