Barge On The Ohio
I salute all the Captains (SEA & RAJ) and any others that might be docking at Caedes. I drink some Captain Morgan Rum now and again, so I salute all those that partake.
If you use coal to heat your house in the winter, I salute you. If you like fishing, I salute you. If you like water sports or boating, I salute you. If you like photos of things like this I salute you as well. Oh, to heck with it, I salute everyone and wish them well.
This was taken last July in Evansville, Indiana. It has been sloshing around in my cigar box so thought I would share it. Enjoy.

You could save yourself some time saluting by super gluing your thumb to your forehead. Knowing what you did in the service hints to me that is how you did it back then!!
I like how you captured the dirt churning up under the boat. It surprised me a bit that he was pushing rather than pulling. I guess it is just another thing today that I would have been wrong about.

Ditto to our Steve plus I feel I should remark that here we have a case of an interesting lack of frame which acts as a frame itself. I get the feeling of watching an image against actual passe-partout [excuse my French - I speak better than I write :)].

Capt. Morgan was probably a distant relative of yours Tick. This is a wonderful maritime image and any such image is pleasing for me. Good clarity and details here. This shouldn't have been in the cigar box. Thanks DR.D for sharing this.

In my humble semi non-professional estimation...I assume this is NOT a winter picture...so I salute YOU for sparing my eyes the unbearable pains of Foto Freeze up. To combat the situation, I have been turning on the gas stove and just sit there watching the flames. It works for me. Beautiful shot you have pulled from your cigar box, Tick!

I salute you as well OFT (Owd Fella Tick). Hope that you are not only drinking some captain Morgan rum from time to time, but hope you are smoking Havana cigars as well (because of their size), so that you can provide us more of such fine images from your big cigar box.
